We are looking for your talent as a **Geospatial Optimization and Analytics Consultant**!! ✋ **Your mission:** You will be the mathematical architect behind our clients’ logistics optimization. You will transform urban maps into advanced mathematical models, designing solutions that minimize costs and transit times using combinatorial optimization algorithms. Your role will be a hybrid between applied mathematician and data engineer: from mathematically formulating complex problems to cloud-deploying dynamic models that reconfigure routes in real time—accounting for traffic congestion, vehicle capacities, and operational constraints. **‍ How will you do it?** * You will formulate and solve problems such as: + Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP). + Facility Location Problem. * You will design objective functions to minimize costs and times under constraints including: + Street directions. + Vehicle capacities. + Time windows and schedules. * You will convert urban maps into directed graphs with dynamic weights based on congestion. * You will process large volumes of GPS data (telemetry) to: + Identify traffic patterns. + Calculate average speeds per road segment. * You will design dynamic and stochastic models where costs vary by day and hour. * You will implement data pipelines in Azure to feed optimization engines. * You will deploy and execute models on cloud computing services (Azure). * You will integrate route data via Google APIs. * You will work with GIS tools for geospatial analysis and visualization **What are we looking for?** First and foremost, you must personally identify with Derevo’s culture: **Intermediate/Advanced English**: You must communicate and write effectively in English. We seek people who share our vision for the future. **Technical Requirements:** * Education: Ph.D. or MSc. in: + Operations Research + Industrial Engineering (Logistics specialization) + Data Science * Solid experience in mathematical modeling and combinatorial optimization. * Proficiency in: + Python (preferred) or C\+\+. + Gurobi, CPLEX or Google OR\-Tools. + Graph and network handling. * Experience processing GPS data (time-series and spatial data). * Knowledge of GIS tools: + PostGIS, QGIS, osmnx, networkx. * Experience building and deploying pipelines in Azure. * Experience with stochastic or dynamic models. * Experience integrating APIs for route data. ✅ **What benefits will you receive?** **WELLNESS:** We promote your holistic well-being—personal, professional, and financial.
