




Position Summary: The Textile Product Development Engineer leads technical validation and approval of textile materials from development through to production, ensuring brand standards and minimizing risks. Textile Product Development Engineer What We Are Looking For? Bachelor's degree or engineering degree in Textile Engineering, Materials Engineering, Textile Chemistry, or a related field. Required Experience 3 to 5 years of experience in textile development or production. Proven experience in tendering processes. Experience in creating BOMs, Tech Packs, and technical specifications. What Will You Do? The Senior Textile Engineer is responsible for leading the technical validation and approval of textile materials from the development phase through to volume production, ensuring compliance with brand standards for physical, mechanical, chemical, and color properties. Acts as a key technical authority for decision-making, minimizing production risks and guaranteeing quality and color consistency across suppliers. Responsibilities and Knowledge Customer and Product Knowledge: - Deepen understanding of customers, processes, products, and their needs to ensure developed products meet their expectations. - Ensure all necessary documentation—including products and technical specifications—is available for tenders. - Master project processes thoroughly to coordinate effectively within the area with developers and the spec bid manager on all aspects required to fulfill each project’s and client’s steps, processes, and timelines. Pre-Production Management: - Coordinate and lead pre-production meetings to discuss and review product details prior to manufacturing. - Ensure all involved parties are aligned and that the pre-production process proceeds smoothly. Technical Documentation Creation: - Develop and maintain up-to-date Embellishment BOMs, child BOMs (Bill of Materials), child Tech Packs (TPs), and child Technical Specifications (FTs) for assigned projects in your zone—without interfering with master documents. - Collaborate with the Spec Bid Manager to ensure technical specifications are validated and suitable for tenders.
