About the Role Academic Support and Student Development Coordinator In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring the student retention strategy. Your work will directly contribute to academic excellence and student persistence, impacting both the educational experience and the holistic development of our community. Your Key Challenges • Providing individual and group psychological support to students experiencing emotional crises • Focusing on and meeting key performance indicators, including student support and retention, collaboration with the Admissions Department, and partner schools • Managing and supervising tutors who provide academic advising and mentoring to at-risk or otherwise eligible students • Identifying students at risk of academic failure or dropping out to design appropriate intervention strategies • Leading cross-functional analysis of potential causes of student attrition and designing targeted student support strategies • Coordinating and managing teams of counselors, tutors, academic advisors, and CADE coaches to ensure optimal performance • Monitoring newly enrolled students throughout their orientation process Candidate Profile We Seek Essential Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, plus a Master’s degree in Education or Psychological Therapy • Minimum 5 years of experience in the educational sector working with high school and undergraduate students, including psychological support for students facing emotional challenges Desirable Qualifications: • Experience in analyzing educational data and identifying factors contributing to student attrition • Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams • Proficiency in performance metrics and academic tracking tools • Core competencies: analytical thinking, collaborative leadership, results orientation, effective communication, and student-centered focus What We Offer: • Academic scholarships • Competitive salary, statutory benefits (IMSS, vacation, year-end bonus), and additional benefits beyond legal requirements (grocery vouchers, savings fund, major medical expense insurance, life insurance) Your Impact at UNITEC At UNITEC, we strive to deliver high-quality, practical, accessible, and transformative education.
