Objective: Ensure compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and established controls; monitor an effective internal control system that provides reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of institutional objectives. Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze key operational processes to ensure compliance with internal policies. Identify and report operational deviations or risks. Design and execute internal control testing. Prepare periodic reports for internal audit and senior management. Propose process improvements based on identified findings. Develop operational risk and associated control matrices aligned with frameworks such as COSO. Design risk mitigation strategies and define responsible parties, frequency, and key indicators. Document and update control validation and monitoring matrices. Assess the status of key risks and controls at entity, process, and transaction levels. Generate executive reports containing conclusions, recommendations, and progress updates on improvement programs. Knowledge Requirements: Fundamentals of internal control and process management (application level). COSO framework (Internal Control, ERM, and Fraud Risk Management). National and international regulations: Sarbanes-Oxley, FCPA, UKBA, OECD. Corporate governance and business ethics. Financial analysis and internal auditing.
