Job Summary: The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, diagnosing, and maintaining control and power systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with electrical safety regulations. Training in competent skills The Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, diagnosis, and maintenance of the plant's control and power systems. Their objective is to ensure that electrical panels, sensors, and actuators operate accurately while always complying with electrical safety regulations to prevent arcs or critical failures. **Key Responsibilities** * **Electrical Diagnosis:** Locate faults in control circuits (24VDC) and power circuits (220/440VAC) using multimeters and oscilloscopes. * **Panel Maintenance:** Cleaning, re-tightening connections, and replacing components such as contactors, relays, and power supplies. * **Installations:** Conduit routing and wiring of new service entries, adhering to color-coding standards and professional cable dressing practices. * **Variable Frequency Drives:** Basic parameterization of variable frequency drives (e.g., **Altivar**) for motor control. **Technical Requirements** * **Education:** Technical degree in Industrial Electricity, Electronics, or Automation. * **Experience:** 2–3 years diagnosing faults in automated machinery. * **Critical Skills:** * **Diagram Reading:** Expert interpretation of electrical schematics (ANSI or DIN standards). * **Electrical Safety:** In-depth knowledge of **LOTO** and proper use of personal protective equipment for electrical hazards. * **Instrumentation:** Proficiency with advanced measurement tools (especially **Fluke** equipment). **Desired Competencies** * Ability to perform **logical and systematic diagnostics** under pressure. * Attention to detail to maintain aesthetics and organization inside control cabinets. * Full commitment to safety standards (Zero tolerance for unsafe acts). Training will be provided, and DC3 certifications in competent skills will be issued.
