Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital pharmacy or operating room area (preferred). Knowledge of pharmacotherapy and medication preparation. Experience managing prescription validation and medication control processes. Main Responsibilities: Validation of prescriptions and transcription of medications upon patient admission, transfer, change of attending physician, and discharge. Preparation of medications and support in resolving nursing staff queries regarding dilutions. Medication counting and control, identification of discrepancies, and monitoring of complete treatment courses. Audits in medication preparation areas and crash carts. Proactive identification and monitoring of suspected adverse drug reactions and contrast media reactions. Detection of medication errors and implementation of pharmaceutical interventions.
