KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You will be responsible for the weekly management of requirements planning and scheduling, ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining predetermined inventory levels of finished and unfinished products. This role is critical within the planning department to optimize network capacity and ensure achievement of service, inventory, and cost objectives. As a Material Planner, you will oversee the factory’s planning process, maintain bill-of-materials (BOM) lists, and ensure optimal placement of purchase orders for raw materials and packaging materials. You will coordinate with Procurement and suppliers to manage material arrivals in line with the production plan, preventing stockouts and carefully controlling MP/WIP/Pack inventory levels. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Knowledge of material planning principles (MRP, inventory models). Ability to manage the planning cycle, overseeing the generation and release of dependent demand to the supply base. Oversee the creation and release of purchase orders for packaging materials and raw materials required to execute the production schedule. Directly manage the scheduling process. Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries. Manage finished goods inventory (NFG) levels to meet plant and category targets. Ensure suppliers comply with all material specifications, analyzing their performance using Procurement tools. Lead or facilitate scheduling and manufacturing meetings as needed. Manage relevant KPIs and communicate them promptly to stakeholders. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations, Planning, Engineering, or related fields. Experience in Logistics, Planning, or Manufacturing is preferred. Project management knowledge. Experience with SAP and Excel is preferred.
