Empathy, friendliness, and strong service orientation. **Profile: Hostess — Restaurant** **Objective** Responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and the waiting area, and delivering the restaurant’s first impression through courteous and efficient service to ensure a positive experience from arrival. **Key Responsibilities** Greet customers courteously and with a smile; confirm reservations and record necessary information. Manage table assignments and the waiting list in accordance with priority policies (reservations, VIPs, walk\-ins). Inform guests of estimated wait times and maintain communication with those in the waiting area. Coordinate with servers and floor supervisors to optimize table turnover and service flow. Distribute menus, briefly explain promotions or daily specials, and escort guests to their tables. Handle telephone inquiries: accept reservations, answer questions about operating hours, menus, and restaurant policies. Maintain order and cleanliness in the reception and waiting areas. Address simple complaints and escalate issues to the floor supervisor or manager as needed. Manage access credentials for special events or corporate reservations. Submit end-of-shift reports on reservations and occupancy (if applicable). **Competencies and Skills** Excellent customer service, clear communication, and proactive attitude.
