We are looking for a **CNC Machining Engineer** responsible for developing, validating, and implementing advanced machining processes to support a high-volume operation. This role requires deep technical knowledge, hands-on machining experience, and strong project leadership to deliver world-class manufacturing solutions. Our ideal candidate is passionate about innovation, performs effectively in dynamic environments, and is motivated to develop robust machining processes, mentor technical teams, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing functions. **Key Responsibilities Machining Process Development** * Conceptualize and develop end-to-end machining processes for various CNC equipment—from initial planning through serial production. * Set up, tune, optimize, and program **Swiss-type CNC lathes** for small-diameter components with tight tolerances. * Perform model changeovers, bar feeder configurations, spindle and sub-spindle programming, and troubleshooting (100% hands-on). * Develop and validate grinding processes using centerless grinders and CNC grinding machines, including wheel/stone changes. * Program and configure machining centers—including setups, adjustments, and full tool configuration. * Train and mentor lead technicians and operators, ensuring their mastery of machining, programming, and advanced manufacturing processes. **Fixtures, Tooling, and Programming** * Design custom fixtures and select tooling; collaborate with suppliers for procurement and validation of components. * Create and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam, Esprit, or similar CAM software. * Conduct machining trials (prove-outs) to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and productivity. **Multifunctional Collaboration** * Work closely with the Quality team to establish robust inspection methods aligned with GD\&T requirements. * Lead final system runs to validate complete machining solutions prior to production release. * Provide technical guidance and mentoring to peers and cross-functional teams. * Support new product development and launch activities, ensuring manufacturability and alignment with plant capabilities. **Technical Leadership and Continuous Improvement** * Recommend materials and processes based on experience, data, and industry knowledge. * Collaborate with equipment suppliers to develop customized machining solutions. * Perform calculations and analyses using software to validate process capability and sustainability. * Drive process improvements that enhance safety, reduce costs, and improve product quality. * Create and maintain documentation packages for development and pre-production activities. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience. * Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in CNC machining and process development. * Strong CNC programming skills (Mastercam, Esprit, or similar). * Advanced knowledge of GD\&T. * Proficiency in 3D CAD (NX, SolidWorks) and familiarity with PDM tools (e.g., Teamcenter). * Ability to model and analyze manufacturing and assembly processes. * Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in machining, fixture design, metalworking, grinding, and related processes. * Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project). Salary: $40,000\.00 \- $50,000\.00 per month Experience: * Swiss lathe operation: 5 years (Mandatory) * GD\&T: 5 years (Mandatory) * 3D CAD (NX, SolidWorks) and PDM tools (Teamcenter): 5 years (Mandatory) Work Location: On-site employment
