Coordinate staff training and awareness activities **Occupational Safety Coordinator.** Contract: Indefinite-term Salary: Competitive Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM **Job Mission:** Plan, coordinate, and supervise the proper implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health System on site, ensuring compliance with current regulations, risk prevention, and protection of personnel integrity, while promoting a safety culture across all project levels. **Main Responsibilities:** * Manage and administer the resources required to implement the Occupational Safety and Health Plan, ensuring its correct application on site. * Verify that the site consistently complies with the company’s safety standards, guidelines, and policies, as well as applicable legislation. * Identify, assess, and control potential risks present at each stage of the project. * Coordinate prevention, training, and awareness needs for personnel according to identified risks, aiming to minimize workplace incidents and accidents. * Supervise proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work procedures. * Conduct periodic safety inspections on site, preparing reports and following up on corrective actions. * Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, performing root cause analysis and developing continuous improvement plans. * Coordinate and execute drills, emergency response plans, and protocols for risk situations. * Maintain updated documentation and records related to occupational safety and health. * Collaborate with supervisors, employees, and contractors to ensure safe and orderly working conditions. * Deliver safety courses, inductions, and safety talks to internal staff and contractors, in accordance with applicable regulations. * Issue and manage Labor Skill Certificates (DC\-3\) resulting from delivered training. * Coordinate and administer the DC\-5 as an external training provider before the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) (to deliver the above activity). * Use the Personal Protective Equipment specified by Occupational Safety, in accordance with Occupational Safety standards; * Safeguard company assets; * Maintain a clean and organized workplace; * Ensure confidentiality and corporate information secrecy; * Strictly comply with the Internal Regulations and the Organization’s Code of Ethics and Conduct. **Requirements:** * Education: Industrial Engineering, Civil Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field * 3 years of experience as a Safety Coordinator in construction. * **English**: Intermediate\-Advanced level. * **Portuguese**: Basic level (Desirable). * Hold a valid DC5\. * Knowledge of regulations concerning: working at height, machinery, electrical installations. * Familiarity with Civil Protection topics. * Experience implementing ISO standards. * Leadership. * Effective communication. * Organizational skills. * Decision-making ability. * Preventive mindset. **We Offer:** * Competitive salary. * Indefinite-term contract. * Statutory benefits. * Innovative, collaborative, and technically advanced work environment. * Career development opportunities in a highly demanded sector. **For your plant, we offer:** * Major medical expense insurance. * Life insurance. * Birthday day off. * Financial support for language courses (English or Portuguese).
