Job Summary: We are seeking a COBOL Mainframe Developer with experience in analysis, development, maintenance, and support of applications in mainframe environments, ensuring operational continuity and collaborating with diverse teams. Key Highlights: 1. Develop and maintain applications in mainframe environments using COBOL. 2. Analyze requirements and optimize batch and online processes. 3. Collaborate with business, QA, and infrastructure teams. Capital Empresarial Horizonte Empresa Mexicana, a Mexican company specializing in Human Resources and Information Technologies, is seeking: COBOL Mainframe Developer **Conversational English required** **On-site work in Toluca (3 days per week on-site, 2 days remote)** * **Free transportation from El Ángel de la Independencia (round trip)** **Hybrid Work Model** **Requirements** * Experience developing COBOL applications in mainframe environments. * Knowledge of JCL and management of batch processes. * Experience with mainframe databases (DB2 or others). * Knowledge of transactional systems (CICS is a plus). * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Experience working in critical production environments. **Desirable Skills** * Experience in legacy system migration or modernization. * Knowledge of integration with modern technologies (APIs, services). * Experience in sectors such as banking, insurance, or government. **Responsibilities** * Develop, maintain, and provide support for mainframe applications using COBOL. * Analyze functional and technical requirements to implement efficient solutions. * Perform corrective, preventive, and evolutionary maintenance of existing systems. * Manage and optimize batch and online processes in production environments. * Identify and resolve production incidents, ensuring operational continuity. * Collaborate with business, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver solutions. * Document developments, processes, and system changes. * Participate in modernization or integration initiatives with newer systems, where applicable. **We Offer:** Office Hours 100% payroll employment model Competitive salary negotiable based on experience Statutory benefits Enhanced benefits (family SGMM, SV coverage up to 1 million MXN, grocery vouchers, 30-day bonus, PTU)
