Inspection of newly constructed vessels **Position Objective:** Inspect the physical and operational conditions of fleet vessels, including their structures, equipment, and systems. Prepare reports on findings and results, providing necessary recommendations and corrective actions. Review preventive, corrective, and/or predictive maintenance activities. **Education:** Naval Mechanical Engineer or related degree. **Experience:** 3 years in this position. **Knowledge:** Vessel maintenance, internal control, Microsoft Office, etc. **Primary Responsibilities:** * Conduct general vessel inspections during port stays to verify proper operation of systems and equipment within specified parameters and instrumentation. * Conduct structural inspections of vessels and prepare reports. * Inspect hulls, tanks, propulsion systems, steering mechanisms, anchors and chains, bottom piping, and other equipment used for dry-docking inspection and repair. * Inspect vessels undergoing maintenance at shipyards to verify compliance with contracted maintenance programs. * Inspect newly constructed vessels at shipyards to verify compliance with the work plan and schedule established by the fleet and authorized by management.
