Purpose of the job* **The position is responsible for supporting and managing the site’s training program — including mandatory training, HSE and technical training (IATF, processes and quality) — maintaining records and ensuring compliance with certification requirements.** **The role collaborates closely with Site Management and cross-functional teams to deliver timely and professional services that promote safety, harmony, maintenance and efficient use of facilities, fostering a positive work environment aligned with the organization’s principles of safety, integrity and sustainability.** *2\. Key responsibilities* * The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for innovating and managing training at the MTY site, classified as “on\-the\-job” training and delivered in various formats depending on training modules or areas. The Facilities Coordinator will support and maintain training records. This is mandatory for IATF certification, as no dedicated person is currently assigned. * Mandatory training covers corporate or general topics that may impact employees or the workplace. This training will be managed by the Facilities Coordinator. * Training is designed to reduce fatal or high-severity process safety incidents, while also supporting site employees in identifying situations that could lead to safety risks. This training is led by the HSE Manager and supported by the Facilities Coordinator. * The Coordinator will ensure required technical development is available so employees can perform their work efficiently and consistently. This training aims to develop employees’ technical knowledge in the powder area, including procedures and SOPs. * Supports all site facility services for an office with 55 workstations, 3 conference rooms, a training room, cafeteria and canteen, serving the MTY site and other corporate functions including ISC and NPR. This role serves as the first point of contact for suppliers, contractors and visitors, and administers all security and access control needs. The Coordinator interacts with Site Management and all teams to deliver timely and professional services that support safety, harmony, maintenance and effective use of facilities, promoting a positive work environment and strong corporate culture. Additionally, the Coordinator collaborates and communicates with stakeholders, adhering to AN’s principles of safety, integrity and sustainability. *4\. Job requirements* * **Bachelor’s degree or engineering degree, preferably completed, or relevant professional experience in the field.** * **Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service and training.** * **Practical knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office.** * **Strong proficiency in IT tools and administrative systems.** * **Basic knowledge of audiovisual (AV) equipment and room setup.** * **Effective communication skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.** * **Customer service orientation with attention to internal and external users.** * **Ability to coordinate suppliers and follow up on site requirements.** * **Organizational skills and attention to detail for record keeping and administrative activities.** * **Availability to support site audits and training processes.** For more information please visit www.akzonobel.com © 2024 Akzo Nobel N.V.
