Job Summary: Seeking a technical leadership and architecture expert for AWS infrastructure, driving scalability, security, and system optimization. Key Highlights: 1. Design and govern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks **What success looks like in this role:** **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------- * Define and lead the target infrastructure architecture on **AWS** for production environments, ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and alignment with business objectives. * Serve as the technical reference for **Linux and Windows engineering on AWS**, enhancing platform stability through proactive improvements, advanced troubleshooting, and performance optimization. * Design and govern **Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)** frameworks using Terraform and/or CloudFormation, establishing standards, reusable patterns, and change control. * Lead security and compliance architecture: IAM strategy, network segmentation, encryption/KMS, centralized logging, and continuous validation of controls. * Drive **cost and performance optimization** strategies (rightsizing, scaling, storage, lifecycle policies). * Define and ensure the **Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity (DR/BCP)** architecture, including RTO/RPO, testing, and continuous improvement. * Integrate infrastructure controls into CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, Jenkins or GitLab), applying policy\-as\-code and deployment governance. * Lead technical management of critical incidents, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective/preventive actions. * Provide technical leadership to L1–L3 teams, conduct design reviews, and promote standardization and best practices. * Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and reference architectures. **Essential Requirements** ----------------------------- * More than **8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering/operations**, with at least 5 years in large-scale production AWS environments. * Advanced proficiency in AWS services (EC2, EBS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, load balancers, and scaling strategies). * Deep experience in administration and hardening of **Linux and Windows in the cloud**. * Expert-level proficiency in **Terraform and/or CloudFormation**, including modular design, version control, and compliance management. * Extensive experience in **AWS network design** (VPC, routing, segmentation, NACL, VPN/Direct Connect, DNS). * Solid knowledge of cloud security: IAM, encryption/KMS, logging, compliance controls, and threat detection. * Experience in observability, monitoring, alerting, and reliability practices (SLO/SLA). * Advanced scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell). * Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. \#LI\-SA1 **You will be successful in this role if you have:** **Education and Certifications** ------------------------------- * Professional degree in **Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field**. * **AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional** and/or **AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional** certification (required or equivalent experience). **Desirable** ------------ * Multi-account design and enterprise connectivity (Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Landing Zones). * Experience with AWS Systems Manager and runbook automation. * Knowledge of security services (GuardDuty, Security Hub, AWS Config, Shield). * Experience in regulated environments and policy\-as\-code. * Experience managing AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB). * Maturity in CI/CD, GitOps, and FinOps. \#LI\-SA1 Unisys is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that considers all qualified applicants without regard to age, caste, citizenship, color, disability, family medical history, family status, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, marital status, national origin, parental status, pregnancy, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, transgender status, veteran status or any other category protected by law.
