




Position Summary: Senior Process Engineer focused on continuous improvement, process design and documentation for manufacturing, production support and quality assurance, as well as personnel training. Senior Process Engineer **RESPONSIBILITIES:** **Continuous Improvement and Optimization:** * **Collaborate with all departments to implement continuous improvement strategies.** * **Implement fixtures and Poka Yokes to optimize processes and prevent errors.** * **Define, implement, and track corrective actions to resolve production and quality issues.** * **Manage continuous improvement by developing programs to address KPI improvement opportunities.** **Process Design and Documentation:** * **Define processes for new products.** * **Define and actively participate in the design of fixtures and equipment for new products.** * **Manage purchase orders.** * **Generate manufacturing documentation associated with manufacturing processes, such as Process Maps, Assembly Instructions, and PFMEAs.** * **Create clear assembly instructions and visual aids for operators.** * **Perform Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test (DFM, DFA, DFT).** **Production Support and Maintenance:** * **Maintain and configure production line startups.** * **Develop preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment operability.** * **Generate and implement engineering changes to manufacturing processes.** **Quality and Performance:** * **Complete and monitor production yields.** * **Issue quality alerts when necessary.** * **Manage cost-saving projects.** **Training and Development:** * **Train employees on new products and processes.** * **Design development programs for Process Technicians.** **TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:** * **In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.** * **Operation of manufacturing machinery.** * **Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and its tools (Standard Work, TPM, Operation Balancing, Kanbans, Supermarkets, VSM, Set\-up Reduction).** * **Knowledge and application of Poka Yoke.** * **Certification or training in Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (includes: Lean Six Sigma Program Overview / White Belt, Cause and Effect Analysis, 8D Corrective Action, Process FMEA, Control Plans, The DMAIC Process, Project Metrics and Value Concepts, Lean Concepts and Implementation, Lean Factory Exercise, Theory of Constraints, Mistake Proofing).** * **Material handling (product respect: PCBA, moisture-sensitive components, optical parts, plastics, flexibles, ESD).** * **Intermediate proficiency in G\-Suite.** * **Knowledge of Cybersecurity (operations).** * **Equipment calibration and verification.** * **PLC programming.** * **Knowledge of problem analysis and resolution techniques, including statistical tools.** * **Knowledge of control charts and their interpretation for process monitoring.** **POSITION PROFILE:** * **Minimum Education: Completed university degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.** * **Years of Experience: 2–5 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing environments.** * **Language: Bilingual (Spanish\-English).** * **Additional Skills:** + **Proven ability to analyze and solve problems.** + **Decision-making ability.** + **Proactivity and initiative.** + **Strong orientation toward teamwork.** + **Good communication skills.** + **Adaptability and flexibility to change.** + **Attention to detail and focus on quality.** + **Leadership** * ***Sanmina, a multinational leader in electronics manufacturing, is committed to promoting and implementing equal opportunity for men and women, with or without disabilities, or in any situation of vulnerability or otherwise; advocating non-discrimination throughout all our activities and ensuring equal opportunities for hiring, development, and retention in employment.***
