Distribution Planning Specialist

Description

Plan and manage allocated supply chain resources and demand processes to ensure that customer service targets are met at a minimum operating cost, with optimum stock levels. Establish robust demand forecasts by using relevant statistical tools and market and sales information, such as planned sales orders, customer contracts, intercompany standing orders, promotional activity, seasonality, brand changes, etc. Cooperate with personnel (sales, marketing, customer service) to deliver accurate, demand\-driven forecast plans. Conduct analysis of sales forecasts, together with marketing and finance insight; report on forecast accuracy; and coordinate updates by managing demand changes from key areas within the targeted business. **Job Description** ------------------- **Objective:** Ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials to support the production plan, maintaining healthy inventory levels aligned with business needs. This position maintains direct communication with Procurement, Production, and Warehouse to ensure operational continuity, service level, and inventory efficiency. **Key Activities/ Deliverables:** * Plan and track raw material and packaging material requirements based on the production plan * Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely supply, avoiding excesses, obsolescence, or line-stoppage risks * Coordinate with the Procurement department and suppliers to track deliveries, confirm arrival dates, and mitigate supply risks * Review changes in the production plan and promptly adjust material supply plans * Identify risks of shortages, delays, or supply constraints and escalate them with proposed actions * Analyze consumption, coverage, lead times, and planning parameters to improve process accuracy and efficiency * Maintain up-to-date master planning data * Coordinate quarterly review of inventory policies * Manage routines for controlling at-risk inventory and excess stock * Track prevention of supply chain losses * Monitor general risks of supply shortages * Track and ensure compliance with LOG.Os routines **Competencies (experiences/ Education):** Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field Experience in material planning, supply planning, inventory management, or related functions Analytical ability and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) SAP **Skills (Knowledge/ Capabilities):** Organization and attention to detail Effective communication and cross-functional coordination Data-driven decision making Sense of urgency and results orientation Risk anticipation and continuous improvement mindset Ownership and leadership Proactive approach **Location(s)** --------------- Guadalajara **Kraft Heinz is an Equal Opportunity Employer – Underrepresented Ethnic Minority** **Groups/Women/Veterans/Individuals** **with Disabilities/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity and other protected classes** **.**
