You will be working in a fast\-paced environment providing US legal advice in connection with US Consular Services across LATAM, with a primary focus on** --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **Mexico.** ----------- * NIV and IV appointment preparation * Refusal risk analysis and troubleshooting * Substantive filings (inadmissibility waivers, E company registrations, etc.) * US citizen services * Regional consular processing trends across LATAM **What Your Day Will Look Like:** --------------------------------- * Communicate with clients and colleagues regarding complex consular case matters, including refusal risks, processing trends, and criminal issues * Draft and file petition applications and substantive submissions * Liaise with US Embassies and Consulates throughout Mexico and LATAM * Manage allocated client accounts and oversee active and inactive matters * Supervise paralegal staff in record keeping and document preparation * Troubleshoot case issues and develop legal strategy * Review documentation submitted by assignees and flag risks to clients * Review paralegal\-drafted materials to ensure legal compliance and quality standards * Draft client correspondence on complex matters * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and client service excellence * Maintain professionalism and deliver high\-quality service to internal stakeholders and external clients **The Team:** ------------- The LATAM US Consular group supports US consular and substantive filings across the region, both as stand\-alone services and as part of broader immigration strategies. The team is structured to maximize efficiency, ensure ownership of work, and empower attorneys to design practical, client\-focused solutions. **What We Are Looking For:** ---------------------------- **Essential Criteria:** * Active Member in good standing of a US State Bar * Demonstrated experience in US business immigration and/or family\-based immigration * Fluent Spanish (mandatory) – strong written and verbal proficiency required * Excellent English verbal and written communication skills * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills * High attention to detail * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment * Ability to work independently and collaboratively * Commitment to fostering a positive team environment **Preferred Skills:** * Experience working with LATAM consular posts, particularly Mexico * Portuguese proficiency (a plus) * Experience advising multinational clients operating in LATAM **Additional Leadership \& Business Development Focus:** -------------------------------------------------------- This role will lead and further develop the US Consular practice in Mexico. Accordingly, significant leadership capability and strong soft skills are essential. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to influence, mentor, and inspire team members while maintaining exceptional client relationships. * Strong NIV experience and preferably prior US consular experience * Fluency in Spanish (mandatory) * A meaningful professional connection to LATAM and understanding of the regional market * Demonstrated ability and ambition to grow and scale a practice * Proven business development skills, including the ability to build relationships in the local market * Desire and capability to expand client engagements and support the FCP Managing Partner in building and strengthening the consular practice in Mexico *All offers and/or employment contracts are contingent upon the successful completion of the Firm’s pre\-employment screening process.
