




Job Summary: This role is responsible for the overall operation of a cocoa plantation, ensuring harvest quality through monitoring, soil management, and pest control. Key Highlights: 1. Monitoring and evaluation of cocoa cultivation to ensure its development. 2. Manual harvesting of cocoa pods and soil management. 3. Implementation of pest control and infrastructure maintenance. Objective: Perform operational functions at the TIcul plantation, contributing to the success of the cocoa harvest in accordance with quality requirements. Activities: Crop Monitoring: * Regularly inspect plants to detect pests and diseases. * Evaluate plant growth and development using the defined quality methodology. Harvesting: * Collaborate with the Plantation Supervisor to determine the optimal timing for cocoa pod harvesting. * Conduct manual harvesting of cocoa pods, ensuring proper cutting and timely collection according to plantation planning. Soil Management: * Conduct soil analysis to assess fertility, pH, moisture, as well as analyze climatic conditions for optimal harvest. * Implement soil conservation practices, such as crop rotation and the use of manure, fertilizers, and fungicides. Pest Control and Fumigation: * Safely and effectively apply phytosanitary treatments through fumigation planning. * Use biological control methods and sustainable practices to minimize chemical usage. Infrastructure Maintenance: * Ensure storage and processing facilities are clean and in good condition. * Maintain tools and equipment in optimal working condition. * Properly use work tools and personal protective equipment. Recordkeeping and Reporting: * Maintain detailed daily records of activities, harvests, and applied treatments. * Report results and plantation conditions to the Plantation Supervisor for risk assessment and timely activity follow-up.
