Position Summary: Responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of industrial ammonia (NH3) refrigeration systems and energy services in food processing plants. Key Highlights: 1. Proactive attitude and solution-oriented mindset **CÓDIGO FOODS is seeking a Refrigeration Technician in La Loma \- Tlalnepantla de Baz, State of Mexico** --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **Position Objective:** Responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of industrial ammonia (NH3) refrigeration systems and energy services, ensuring compliance with safety, hygiene, and energy efficiency standards in food processing plants. **Requirements:** * Academic Qualification: Technician or Technologist OR Engineer in Industrial Refrigeration, Electromechanics, Industrial Mechanics, or related field. * Courses or certifications in safe ammonia handling (RET C or equivalent preferred). * Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health, including confined space work (preferred) and working at heights. **Experience:** * No prior experience required * Essential knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems in industrial settings, preferably within the food industry. * Knowledge of operation and maintenance of compressors, evaporators, condensers, and control systems. * Knowledge of boilers, substations, water pumps, and compressed air systems **Technical Knowledge:** * NH3 handling and safety. * Reading and interpretation of mechanical and electrical drawings. * Automatic control systems (basic PLC knowledge preferred). * HACCP and GMP regulations for food refrigeration. * Boiler opening procedures * Fire suppression systems * Substations **Responsibilities:** * Maintenance of commercial refrigeration units, ventilation, extraction, cold rooms, and industrial refrigeration systems using ammonia and other refrigerants. * Operation of multi-stage ammonia refrigeration systems. * Replacement of filters on ammonia compressors. * Oil replacement for ammonia compressors and/or topping up to correct level. * Maintenance and operation of screw compressors (single/multi-stage), recirculators, IQF freezers, water chillers, steam boilers, air compressors, low- and medium-voltage electrical substations (including surge arrester inspection), fire suppression systems, and pumping equipment. **Soft Skills:** * Strong commitment to safety. * Ability to work under pressure. * Teamwork and effective communication with other departments. * Proactive attitude and solution-oriented mindset. **General Information:** Work Location: Tlalnepantla Salary to be determined during interview based on competencies Benefits: Grocery vouchers + 15-day bonus (aguinaldo) + Vacation bonus as per law + Paid vacation as per law Pay Frequency: Weekly Work Schedule: Monday through Sunday; weekly rest day falls mid-week.
