We seek an experienced Controls Technician to ensure our cutting-edge technology operates without interruption. **Position Objective** Maintain operational continuity of manufacturing cells through diagnosis, repair, and optimization of automated systems. The candidate must be capable of intervening at both hardware and software levels (PLCs, robots, vision systems) to resolve complex failures that general maintenance cannot address, ensuring signal stability and process traceability. **Technical Responsibilities** * **Floor-Level Fault Diagnosis:** Identify and correct communication errors, logic faults, and intermittent machine stops in automated equipment. * **Control System Maintenance:** Load, unload, and perform minor modifications to PLC programs (Ladder Logic, Structured Text) to optimize performance. * **Motion Control:** Configure and replace servo motors, linear actuators, robotic cylinders, and variable frequency drives. * **Vision and Inspection Systems:** Adjust vision cameras, measurement sensors, and profilometers to prevent false rejections on the production line. * **Industrial Networks:** Diagnose connectivity issues in fieldbus networks (EtherNet/IP, Profinet) and ensure cable and node integrity. * **Special Process Support:** Provide technical support for laser welding stations, magnetizers, and electrical test equipment (Hi\-Pot, continuity testers). * **Hardware and Wiring:** Redesign electrical panels and wire sensors and electronic components with high precision. * **Documentation:** Maintain up-to-date program backups and record changes made to electrical schematics. Required Profile (Experience and Knowledge) * **Education:** Completed Technical Degree or University-level Technical Superior (TSU) in Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Electricity, or related field. * **Experience:** 5–8 years in electronic maintenance or controls roles within the automotive or motor manufacturing industry. * **Programming:** Proficiency with software from multiple vendors: Allen Bradley (Studio 5000\), Siemens (TIA Portal), Mitsubishi, Omron, or Keyence. * **Robotics:** Knowledge of operation and point adjustment for Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Yamaha robots. * **Tools:** Expert use of multimeter, oscilloscope (for electrical noise detection), soldering iron, and network analyzers. * **Blueprint Reading:** Advanced interpretation of electrical and pneumatic diagrams. * **Languages:** Basic technical English (reading manuals and software error messages). Performance Metrics (KPIs) * **MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures):** Target of 600 minutes. * **MTTR (Mean Time To Repair):** Target of 30 minutes for control-related failures. * **Process Improvements:** Implementation of 5 improvements or projects per month. * **Attendance:** 95% compliance rate. Critical Competencies * Sense of urgency and proactivity. * Analytical diagnostic capability under pressure. * Discipline in following safety procedures (LOTO).
