ALTEN Mexico is seeking a Welding Fixture Design Engineer, where you will be responsible for planning, designing, and validating clamping, positioning, and assembly devices (Jigs & Welding Fixtures) for structural welding processes used in the manufacturing of buses or commercial vehicles. This role involves close collaboration with manufacturing, process engineering, and quality teams to ensure designs are efficient, safe, and compliant with metalworking industry standards. **Responsibilities::** * Design and model welding fixtures with high detail and precision using CATIA V5. * Develop clamping, alignment, and assembly solutions for large-scale metal structures (frames, bodies, chassis). * Ensure designs meet functionality, safety, ergonomics, and geometric tolerance (GD&T) requirements. * Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to validate technical and production feasibility of designs. * Integrate hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical considerations into designs when required. * Participate in technical reviews, implementation of improvements, and prototype validation. * Document technical drawings, user manuals, and validation reports. **Requirements:** **Requisitos:** * Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering or related field. * 4 to 5 years of experience in welding fixture or manufacturing tooling design. * Experience in the metalworking industry, preferably in the bus, truck, or commercial vehicle sector. * Proficiency in CATIA V5 or higher (Sketcher, Part Design, Assembly, Drafting). * Knowledge of MIG/MAG welding processes, control points, clamping, and positioning. * Understanding of geometric tolerances (GD&T) and technical standards. * Desirable knowledge of integrating hydraulic or pneumatic systems into fixtures. * Teamwork, effective communication, results-oriented, and continuous improvement mindset. **Benefits:** We offer * Base salary * Major Medical Insurance (includes dental and vision plans) * 15 days year-end bonus * 25% vacation premium * 12 days of vacation (starting after first year) * Social security * PTU/Profit Sharing * Bi-weekly grocery vouchers
