This involves a proactive approach with the operations and supports teams to provide a fast response to disruptions, as well as the responsibility for reacting to welding quality defects to mitigate time and cost impacts. Performs plans, inspections, and advanced audits to track, analyze, and report on the results of destructive test, materials, processes, and products to ensure conformance to company's quality standards. **What You Will Do** * Ensure compliance with the Destructive Test Plan * Identifying, analyzing, and resolving nonconformance of destructive test / customer rejections. * Ensure CQMS is aligned and properly executed in the value stream. * Maintaining quality system documentation. **Education requirement:** Requires a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial engineering or related field. This position requires conversational proficiency in English. **What skills you will have:** **Quality Management (QMS)**: * Practical knowledge of APQP concepts; PFMEA, Control Plan, SWES, and MSA. * Practical knowledge of measurement equipment. * Able to perform CMM report interpretation. * Previously worked with value stream Quality metrics: DPU, DPM, FPY, Repair Time, Scrap, BIQ F/N/M. * Understand the Non\-Conforming Product Management process. * Knowledge of software systems: ETQ, SAP, AQE, Power BI, Macros Excel, Minitab. **Problem Solving**: * Manage Stop to Fix meetings with internal team to review quality external rejections. * Utilizes RCA techniques, such as Flowchart, Fish\-bone Diagram, etc., to investigate basic problems, determine the causes, and find resolutions. * Effectively ensures that implemented ICA \& PCA are communicated and understood by all levels of the value chain. * Generation of RCCA \& A3 formats. * Basic statistical knowledge. **Accuracy and Attention to Detail** * Knowledge of the importance of accuracy within one’s own function or unit. * Skill in identifying tasks or outputs that require accuracy and detailed attention. * Ability to identify the procedures needed to ensure results are mistake‑free. * Capability to describe the consequences of errors within one’s own unit or function. **Effective Communications** * Knowledge of non‑verbal behaviors that influence message interpretation. * Ability to cite examples of effective and ineffective communications. * Knowledge of the importance of effective business communication. * Skill in speaking and writing using correct language, mechanics, and gestures. **Manufacturing Processes** * Knowledge of the functional areas within a manufacturing facility. * Ability to describe the roles and responsibilities of manufacturing areas and staff. * Skill in identifying major phases and activities within a manufacturing cycle. * Capability to obtain and interpret high‑level manufacturing flow and documentation. **The best candidates will also have:** * Knowledge and experience in Data Analysis * Knowledge and experience in Power BI, Minitab, Excel Macros * Soft Skills as Autodidact, Adaptability, Teamwork \& Leadership * Knowledge of welding process. **Additional Information:** * This position will be in Santa Catarina Facility 3, Nuevo Leon, MX. * Your work schedule is Monday to Friday, subject to changes. * This position will have 10% domestic and international travel. * Relocation is not offered for this position. **Final details**: The Caterpillar Code of Conduct states that we will select, and place employees based on their qualifications for the job to be performed, without regard to race, religion, national origin, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability.
