Key liaison between customer and commercial team for efficient operations **Refractories Coordinator** **Job Type \| On-site (Steel Plant)** **Publication Date****:****Start Date:** **Immediate** We are looking for a **Refractories Coordinator** responsible for providing technical support on the application of refractory materials used in primary and secondary steel metallurgical processes, as well as analyzing their performance and preparing routine technical reports on performed activities. In addition to the refractory aspect, this position is responsible for the commercial management of all refractories consumed at this site, since the **contract is performance-based** (TCO), and weekly delivery notes/invoices are generated based on the customer’s steel production. This position serves as the liaison between the customer and the commercial team, aiming to ensure efficient, safe, and profitable operation of refractory linings. This position reports directly to the **Regional Sales Manager** and has personnel reporting to it, constituting the technical team responsible for refractory monitoring/management of Ladles, Furnaces, Tundishes, Gas Injection Systems, Machines, Inventory, and Billing. **The position,** as **Refractories Coordinator:** You will: * **Be present daily at the customer’s steel plant alongside the customer.** * Provide technical advice to customers on selection, installation, operation, and maintenance of refractories used in primary and secondary steel metallurgical processes * **Analyze lining performance using operational data, wear reports, thermal profiles, photographic evidence, and historical records**. * Prepare technical reports with conclusions, recommendations, and improvement proposals. * Coordinate and document field trials, evaluations, and follow-up meetings with customers. * Identify operational risks related to refractory use and propose preventive or corrective solutions to customers * Participate in training for the customer’s technical and operational staff. * Promote digitalization by leveraging existing internal tools. * Analyze commercial, financial, and operational data to identify opportunities for improving sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction. * Prepare reports, dashboards, and executive presentations for management and customers. * Collaborate with the sales team in designing data-driven sales strategies. * Implement internal inventory management tools with end users (existing solution). * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively present technical and commercial information. * Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers. * Proactive, analytical, and results-oriented attitude. **Requirements and Skills** * **Effective and collaborative work with the customer, with clear verbal and written communication skills.** * Castable and non-castable refractory linings (MgO\-C, Al2O3, dolomite, concretes, insulating bricks, etc.) * **Knowledge of the steel plant steelmaking process.** * **Understanding of refractory wear mechanisms and failures (corrosion, erosion, thermal shock, spalling, among others).** * Reading of drawings, wear profiles, thermograms, thermal analyses, or temperature profiles **Education and Professional Experience** * Education: Degree in **Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemistry**, or related field. * Experience: More than **3 years** in the **refractories sector**, with focus on **contract management.** * Analytical tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) **What We Offer** * A competitive salary package reflecting your qualifications, experience, and current market standards. * Flat hierarchies and streamlined decision-making processes. * Comprehensive social benefits, including major medical expense insurance, vacation bonus above statutory requirements, and savings fund. * Access to continuous learning and development through the RHIM Academy LMS, the full LinkedIn Learning catalog, and the Internal Mentorship Program.
