Description

DESCRIPTION Lead, integrate, and optimize the company's entire supply chain, ensuring timely material procurement, accurate production planning, warehouse efficiency, inventory control, delivery logistics, and fulfillment of commercial and operational commitments to customers. This position requires a profile with strategic vision yet deep operational expertise—capable of streamlining processes, anticipating risks, coordinating critical departments, and transforming the supply chain into a competitive advantage for a growing industrial enterprise. ### **Role Mission** Ensure that procurement, planning, warehousing, logistics, shipping, and production operate in a coordinated, measurable, and efficient manner—avoiding inventory stockouts, delivery delays, cost overruns, emergency purchases, operational disarray, and erosion of project profitability. This is not an administrative tracking role. It is a key position to ensure operations run with precision, speed, control, and industrial discipline. ### **Key Responsibilities** ### **1\. Supply Chain Strategy and Integrated Management** Design, implement, and lead the company’s supply chain strategy—aligning procurement, inventory, production, logistics, and deliveries with the business’s commercial, financial, and operational objectives. Coordinate Procurement, Planning, Warehousing, Logistics, and Shipping departments—ensuring each operates under clear processes, defined metrics, and measurable responsibilities. Identify bottlenecks, operational risks, cost variances, and improvement opportunities across the entire supply chain. ### **2\. Materials and Production Planning** Coordinate materials planning according to commercial demand, production capacity, supplier lead times, inventory availability, and production priorities. Ensure production schedules have all required materials, inputs, components, and resources to execute on time and as planned. Work closely with Production, Engineering, Sales, and Executive Leadership to anticipate needs, validate priorities, and prevent project delays. Implement planning mechanisms to shift from reactive to preventive, structured, and controlled operations. ### **3\. Procurement, Sourcing, and Supplier Development** Oversee domestic and international procurement management—ensuring price, quality, availability, delivery timelines, and compliance with technical specifications. Develop, evaluate, and negotiate with strategic suppliers of steel, metal-mechanical components, industrial inputs, paint, consumables, transportation, contract manufacturing, services, and other mission-critical operational materials. Define supplier evaluation criteria—including quality, on-time performance, cost, responsiveness, commercial terms, and service level. Reduce emergency purchases, off-process procurements, and budget deviations through more robust planning and improved supplier management. ### **4\. Inventory, Warehousing, and Operational Control** Optimize inventory levels—ensuring availability of critical materials without causing excess stock, obsolescence, or unnecessary tied-up capital. Implement controls for receipts, issues, locations, cycle counts, maximum/minimum levels, stock rotation, and material traceability. Ensure physical inventory accuracy against system records—correcting discrepancies and establishing processes to minimize operational errors. Strengthen warehouse discipline as a strategic control function—not merely a storage area. ### **5\. Logistics, Shipping, and Deliveries** Oversee delivery logistics, distribution, and shipping—ensuring adherence to timelines, routes, documentation, commercial priorities, and customer-agreed conditions. Coordinate the flow of materials and finished goods from plant to customer, site, construction location, or designated delivery center—as applicable. Control logistics costs, idle time, delays, rework, and coordination failures among production, warehousing, transportation, and customers. Ensure logistics supports commercial growth without becoming a bottleneck. ### **6\. Costs, Efficiency, and Profitability** Control and optimize costs associated with sourcing, inventory, storage, transportation, distribution, and extraordinary purchases. Analyze cost variances by project, supplier, material, product family, or business line. Propose strategies to improve margins, reduce waste, avoid costly emergencies, and increase operational efficiency. Make data-driven decisions—not solely based on experience or intuition. ### **7\. Metrics, Processes, and Continuous Improvement** Implement, monitor, and report key Supply Chain KPIs, including: * Service level. * On-time delivery performance. * Inventory turnover. * Inventory accuracy. * Fill rate. * Supplier lead time. * Emergency purchases. * Cost savings generated. * Logistics cost. * Planning adherence. * OTIF: complete and on-time deliveries. * Plan vs. execution variances. Lead improvement projects—including automation, documentation standardization, process organization, ERP/MRP implementation, and strengthening of internal controls. REQUIREMENTS 5–8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Inventory, or Sourcing within industrial, manufacturing, metal-mechanical, industrial construction, storage systems, racking, structural steel, or project-based manufacturing companies. Minimum 3 years in leadership, coordination, or managerial roles—with responsibility for teams, suppliers, inventory, planning, and operational execution. Essential experience in companies where the supply chain directly impacts production, deliveries, costs, and customer satisfaction. ### **Essential Requirements** The candidate must demonstrate proven experience in: * End-to-end Supply Chain management in industrial or metal-mechanical environments. * Procurement and negotiation with strategic suppliers. * Materials and production planning. * Inventory and warehouse control. * Logistics, shipping, and distribution. * ERP, MRP, or planning system usage. * KPI implementation and monitoring. * Coordination with Production, Sales, Engineering, and Finance departments. * Operational cost control. * Continuous improvement, process organization, and standardization. ### **Desirable Technical Knowledge** * Supply Chain Management. * Demand and supply planning. * MRP / ERP. * Lean Manufacturing. * Inventory control. * Technical procurement. * Logistics costing. * Supplier negotiation. * Production planning. * Warehouse management. * Last-mile logistics or industrial deliveries. * ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001\. * Operational performance metrics. * Make-to-order or project-based manufacturing. * Handling of industrial materials—steel, components, structures, or metal-mechanical products. ### **Academic Qualifications** Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. A Master’s degree, diploma, or certification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Project Management, or Operations Management will be considered a plus.
