Job description and responsibilities
* Design and develop corrugated cardboard packaging structures to ensure product protection during storage and transportation.
* Prepare packaging drawings and technical specifications using structural design software.
* Analyze packaging strength considering factors such as compression, stacking, vibration, and impact.
* Develop prototypes and samples for technical validation and performance testing.
* Modify designs based on physical test results or customer requirements.
* Ensure designs are manufacturable on production equipment such as corrugators and die-cutters.
* Optimize materials and structures to reduce costs without compromising packaging quality or strength.
* Collaborate with production, quality, sales, and customer service departments to develop appropriate solutions for each requirement.
* Interpret technical requirements from internal or external customers and translate them into functional packaging solutions.
* Ensure compliance with quality standards and technical specifications for the corrugated packaging industry.
Experience and requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
* 1–3 years of experience in corrugated packaging design or cardboard structural design.
* Proficiency in ArtiosCAD and AutoCAD.
* Knowledge of corrugated board and its properties.
* Experience in prototype development and strength testing (ECT/BCT).
