Job Summary: Perform sinker EDM machining of components for aluminum extrusion dies, ensuring required quality and specifications. Key Highlights: 1. Perform setup, execution, and review of machining programs. **SINKER EDM OPERATOR (SPARKY)** **JOB OBJECTIVE** Perform sinker EDM machining of components for aluminum extrusion dies, following a defined process to ensure customer-required quality and specifications regarding part finishes and dimensions. **Biweekly Shift Schedule** **First Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM** **Second Shift: Monday to Friday, 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM** **REQUIREMENTS** * High school diploma or equivalent * Age 20–55 * 1 year of experience in the metalworking industry **WE OFFER** **Salary based on experience: $12.000 \- $16.000** * 10% Punctuality Bonus * 10% Attendance Bonus * Year-end bonus: 21 days, increasing annually up to 30 days * Vacation premium: 50% * Grocery allowance: 13.5% * Savings fund: 8% * Life insurance * Transportation * Subsidized cafeteria **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** * Review the sparky production schedule to identify daily priorities. * Review the work order for required operations and verify availability of requested electrodes and/or gauges. * Inspect gauges for proper condition and polish them to remove wire marks. * Perform part setup (preparation and mounting of the part to be machined). * Execute the machining program. * Verify that machining meets quality requirements; otherwise, notify the shift leader. * Retain the gauge for use on a second part (if copper has been used more than once, consult the shift leader to determine whether it remains functional or must be discarded); it is recommended to use each gauge no more than twice. * Maintain a minimum stock of at least five inserts per size for low-cut applications. * Conduct daily inventory of shape-specific gauges and request missing items from the wire-cutting department. * Maintain 5S standards in the work area.
