Description
DESCRIPTION
Coordinate, supervise, and ensure the proper execution of projects and installations on site, guaranteeing compliance with scope, schedule, quality, safety, technical specifications, and customer satisfaction.
The position requires a highly operational, organized profile with field experience, capable of coordinating crews, materials, tools, progress, incidents, logistics, safety, and communication with the client—ensuring each installation is executed according to schedule and technical standards.
**Role Mission**
Ensure that installation projects are executed correctly from operational planning through on-site closure, coordinating people, resources, timelines, materials, and communication among the client, engineering, production, logistics, and installation teams.
This role is not merely administrative oversight. It is a key position to guarantee that what has been sold, designed, and manufactured is installed correctly, on time, with quality, safety, and operational control.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1\. Field Project and Installation Coordination**
Coordinate the execution of projects and installations on site, ensuring activities proceed in accordance with scope, schedule, drawings, technical specifications, and commitments agreed upon with the client.
Plan daily, weekly, and overall project activities, considering installation durations, available resources, work sequence, materials, tools, permits, site access, and site conditions.
Supervise installation progress against the defined schedule, promptly identifying deviations, risks, delays, or requirements for adjustment.
**2\. On-Site Operational Personnel Supervision**
Supervise and coordinate operational personnel assigned to each project, including foremen, assemblers, technicians, installers, external staff, or subcontracted crews.
Ensure every team member understands their responsibilities, execution timelines, quality standards, safety measures, and project priorities.
Maintain operational discipline on site, monitoring attendance, performance, productivity, order, proper tool usage, and adherence to instructions.
Promptly escalate any issues related to poor performance, staffing shortages, installation errors, on-site conflicts, or operational risks.
**3\. Technical Compliance and Installation Quality**
Ensure installations comply with drawings, technical specifications, engineering criteria, quality standards, and client requirements.
Validate field measurements, alignments, levels, fixings, assembly, mounting, anchoring, finishes, components, and general installation conditions.
Coordinate with Engineering regarding any technical questions, required adjustments, scope changes, on-site deviations, or validation needs before proceeding with execution.
Avoid rework, assembly errors, material damage, out-of-specification installations, and incomplete deliveries.
**4\. Internal Department Coordination**
Consistently coordinate with Engineering, Production, Logistics, Procurement, Quality, and Project Management to ensure uninterrupted project progress.
Confirm timely availability and delivery of materials, tools, equipment, drawings, technical documentation, and other resources required for each installation.
Clearly report any shortages, damages, delays, manufacturing errors, priority changes, or situations that could affect project delivery.
Ensure smooth communication among office, plant, logistics, and installation site.
**5\. Logistics of Materials, Tools, and Equipment**
Coordinate receipt, storage, usage, and control of materials, tools, equipment, and consumables assigned to the project.
Verify that materials received on site correspond to the project, quantities, specifications, drawings, and installation requirements.
Control tools, personal protective equipment, auxiliary machinery, consumables, and assigned resources to prevent loss, damage, misuse, or unnecessary expenses.
Coordinate logistical needs for local and remote projects, including transportation, accommodation, per diems, site access, working hours, and special client conditions.
**6\. On-Site Client Communication**
Maintain professional, clear, and consistent communication with the client or the client’s representative on site—addressing inquiries, reporting progress, and managing incidents in an orderly manner.
Represent the company with seriousness, technical judgment, service orientation, and problem-solving capability.
Document any additional requests, scope changes, operational adjustments, site restrictions, or unforeseen conditions—avoiding unauthorized commitments.
Nurture the client relationship without compromising technical, operational, or contractual control of the project.
**7\. Site Safety and Hygiene**
Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene regulations, procedures, and measures during installation execution.
Supervise correct use of personal protective equipment, tools, maneuvers, work at height, load handling, order, cleanliness, and safe working conditions.
Identify on-site hazards and take preventive actions to avoid accidents, incidents, injuries to personnel, or damage to materials, equipment, or client installations.
Coordinate with the client and internal departments to meet safety requirements, permits, inductions, documentation, and controls necessary for site access and operations.
**8\. Progress Tracking, Evidence Collection, and Reporting**
Prepare and manage project progress reports, including completed activities, percentage of progress, incidents, photographs, evidence, assigned personnel, materials used, and pending items.
Track deliverables, checklists, daily reports, logs, punch lists, meeting minutes, authorizations, change orders, and project closures.
Timely report progress, deviations, risks, and needs to the Engineering and Projects Manager.
Ensure project information is clear, traceable, documented, and useful for decision-making.
**9\. Incident Management, Changes, and Project Closure**
Manage on-site incidents related to materials, access, site conditions, client changes, delays, shortages, installation errors, weather, safety, or personnel availability.
Propose practical and timely solutions while keeping relevant departments informed.
Validate proper project handover, ensuring technical, operational, and documentary closure—and, where applicable, formal client acceptance.
Ensure no critical items remain outstanding, uncontrolled materials, unrecovered tools, incomplete evidence, or informal deliveries.
