DESCRIPTION Índigo Factory is a company specialized in the design and manufacturing of retail furniture, commercial and residential interior design, and custom projects for brands, events, and commercial spaces. We develop projects comprehensively—from conceptualization and design through to manufacturing and final installation—working continuously with materials, production, finishes, and real-world fabrication solutions. IMPORTANT: This vacancy is entirely focused on furniture design, development, and manufacturing, as well as retail interior design. WE DO NOT SEEK candidates focused exclusively on: * Construction site supervision * Site residency * Traditional construction * Architecture focused solely on civil works We seek REAL experience in: * Furniture design * Retail interior design * Technical project development * Production and manufacturing * Workshop drawings * Coordination with carpentry, metalwork, and finishing teams * Development of buildable projects Although we value architecture backgrounds, the role’s focus is NOT traditional architecture, but rather coordination and development of furniture, retail, and buildable interior design projects. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We seek a candidate with REAL experience coordinating design projects, retail interior design, and furniture development. We do NOT seek junior profiles, interns, or individuals focused solely on renderings. We need someone with sound judgment, problem-solving ability, operational leadership, and hands-on experience working directly with production and manufacturing. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating the design and project development department, working directly with General Management, Production, and Procurement to ensure correct execution of each project—from the initial brief through to final installation. RESPONSIBILITIES * Coordinate the design and project development department * Supervise and organize team workloads * Develop retail, furniture, and commercial interior design projects * Prepare production drawings and technical documentation * Generate client-facing renderings and presentations * Maintain continuous follow-up with Production and Procurement * Supervise workshop progress * Conduct site surveys, measurements, and installations * Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal departments * Develop material lists and technical solutions * Resolve technical and operational issues * Ensure quality, organization, and timely delivery within the department REQUIREMENTS * Industrial Designer, Architect, or related degree * Minimum verifiable experience of 5–8 years in furniture, retail, commercial interior design, or manufacturing projects * Experience coordinating projects and working directly with production * Experience developing buildable projects and workshop drawings * REAL knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials * Excellent technical judgment and problem-solving ability * Advanced proficiency in Rhinoceros is mandatory * Proficiency in V-Ray, D5, and Adobe Suite * Ability to read and interpret drawings * Excellent organizational skills and sense of urgency * Ability to work under pressure * Valid driver’s license * Preferably own vehicle for site visits, surveys, and supervision WE SEEK A PERSON WHO IS * Proactive * Organized and solution-oriented * Possesses operational leadership * Committed to quality and detail * Does not require constant supervision * Wants to grow alongside the company * Has genuine technical and operational judgment WE OFFER * Monthly salary of $20,000–$25,000, based on experience * Genuine professional development within the company * Involvement in high-end retail and residential projects * Career growth within Índigo Factory Location: Mexico City Modality: On-site Salary: $20,000.00 – $24,000.00 per month Benefits: * Free parking Workplace: On-site employment
