**Job Profile: General Physician**
**Foundation for People with Intellectual Disabilities**
Job Objective
To provide comprehensive, preventive, and follow-up medical care to people with intellectual disabilities, promoting their physical and emotional well-being and quality of life through a humanistic, inclusive, and interdisciplinary approach.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct general medical consultations and periodic evaluations.
* Prepare clinical records and monitor treatment progress.
* Timely detect physical illnesses, neurological conditions, or associated disorders.
* Coordinate referrals to specialists when necessary.
* Supervise vaccination schedules, nutrition, and management of chronic diseases.
* Participate in health prevention and promotion programs.
* Train caregivers, family members, and support staff on basic health care.
* Respond to basic medical emergencies and provide subsequent follow-up.
* Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
* Promote dignified, empathetic, and respectful treatment toward service users.
* Prepare medical reports and support institutional processes related to health.
Academic Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, with official degree and professional license.
* Experience in caring for people with intellectual disabilities, mental health conditions, or family medicine is desirable.
* Courses or knowledge in inclusion, human rights, or care for vulnerable groups (desirable).
Experience
* Minimum 3 years of experience in general practice.
* Experience in social institutions, foundations, rehabilitation centers, or community-based care settings is desirable.
Knowledge and Skills
* Proficiency in managing clinical records.
* Basic knowledge of pharmacology and management of chronic diseases.
* Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Working Conditions
* Fee-for-service contract (9 hours per week)
* In-person: 9 hours per week, distributed across 3 days per week
* Work location: Fundación de Ayuda al Débil Mental A.C., at its center located in Tlalnepantla de Baz, State of Mexico
* Monthly compensation: $9,000
Salary: $9,000.00 per month
