Maintain a clean work area and inspect quality Apply paint or lacquer finishes to surfaces generally made of wood, metal, plastic, or other materials to achieve an aesthetic appearance, protect the material, or meet technical specifications and company standards. **As a Lacquerer, you will be responsible for:** * Applying paint or lacquer finishes to surfaces generally made of wood, metal, plastic, or other materials to achieve an aesthetic appearance, protect the material, or meet technical specifications and company standards. * Preparing surfaces to be lacquered by sanding and cleaning them to ensure proper adhesion. * Applying layers of lacquer, varnish, or paint using spray guns, brushes, or rollers as required. * Controlling the quantity and uniformity of the applied product to avoid imperfections. * Performing appropriate drying and curing of the applied finishes. * Maintaining a clean and organized work area. * Inspecting parts to ensure they meet quality standards. * Reporting any defects or issues identified during the process. * Complying with safety regulations and proper handling of materials and tools. **To perform this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:** * 2 years of verifiable experience as a general helper in carpentry, lacquering, and painting environments. * Completed secondary education or high school diploma. * Basic knowledge of types of wood and their applications. **The following capabilities and distinctions would be advantageous in this role:** * Proficiency with general carpentry tools and equipment (drills, saws, planers, cutters, lathes, routers, polishers, etc.). * Proficiency with painting and fine-finishing tools (compressors, gravity-fed spray guns, belt sanders, brushes, rollers, etc.). * General knowledge of inks, varnishes, sealers, and protectors.
