Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate Instructor focused on safety and training to train, evaluate, and certify operators, ensuring standards of safe and efficient driving. Key Highlights: 1. We recognize that our operator team is the engine of our success; therefore, we seek a professional passionate about safety and training to join our team. **Job Objective:** The Instructor will be responsible for training, evaluating, and certifying new and active operators (drivers), ensuring compliance with standards for safe driving, efficient driving (eco\-driving), and current transportation regulations to prevent accidents and optimize fleet performance. **Key Responsibilities:** * Deliver theoretical and practical orientation and refresher courses to operators of **\[fifth wheel]** vehicles. * Evaluate on\-road driving skills (driving tests) and identify areas for improvement. * Train on topics including **Defensive Driving, Road Safety, Basic Mechanics, and Technical\-Economic Driving**. * Monitor telematics and fuel efficiency indicators to provide feedback to operators. * Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations from **\[SCT / local transportation authorities]**. **Requirements:** * **Education:** Completed technical or high school education (Engineering, Logistics, or related fields preferred). * **Experience:** Minimum **3** years as an instructor in freight or passenger transportation lines, or extensive prior experience as an operator with demonstrated teaching aptitude. * **License:** Valid **Federal Class B** driver's license. * **Technical Knowledge:** Thorough knowledge of traffic regulations, defensive driving (CEPA, SCT, or similar certification preferred), and basic diesel mechanics. * **Skills:** Excellent verbal communication, leadership, patience, and strong focus on risk prevention.
