Prepare cooking ingredients, e.g., portioning food, chopping, and storing. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and the food preparation checklist. Maintain kitchen logs to comply with the food safety program and food logs for all food products. Monitor food quality during food preparation. Set up and divide workstations. Wash and sanitize the kitchen area, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment. Verify completion of cleaning checklists. Inspect and ensure correct temperatures of appliances and food using thermometers and thermostats. Comply with all company safety policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; protect company property. Communicate with others using clear and professional language. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team in achieving common goals. Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Reach above head and below knees, including bending, twisting, turning, and stooping.
