Covia is seeking a **QUALITY COORDINATOR** who will have a positive impact on the **Lampazos Plant** team located in **Nuevo León**. In this role, you will have the opportunity to coordinate quality system and laboratory activities, as well as implement current work systems and maintain the management system certification. **The selected candidate for this position will have the following key responsibilities:** * Coordinate the implementation of the Quality Management System at the plant based on guidelines from the Quality Improvement Program and specific Quality Control Manual to ensure application of continuous improvement approaches in processes. * Review product and/or process opportunity areas received to validate their applicability and assign them to the investigator. * Coordinate the plant's corrective and preventive action process to ensure investigation, generation of action plans, and verification of their effectiveness. * Coordinate the plant's document control process to ensure that relevant documents are used. * Coordinate the plant's internal audit process to identify improvement opportunities and implement action plans. * Coordinate the ISO recertification process. * Supervise the proper operation of the laboratory area to provide the plant with reliable, accurate, and timely technical information related to raw materials, in-process products, and finished products for decision-making. * Propose changes in master specifications of products processed at the plant to continue meeting customer requirements without affecting costs and productivity. * Coordinate and manage the plant’s continuous improvement and innovation process, as well as document and share best practices from different company units with their plant. * Develop the work system and coordinate its implementation, operation, and monitoring. To ensure established KPIs are executed, achieved, measured, and communicated to contribute to the continuous improvement process, **the selected candidate must meet the following profile:** **Certifications and Experience:** * Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field * 5 years of experience in similar roles (preferably in automotive, aerospace, rail sectors) * Knowledge of quality systems * Internal instructor **Knowledge, skills, and competencies:** * Knowledge of processes, ISO 9001 standard, high drive, and coordination and analytical capabilities. **Travel availability:** Availability to work at Lampazos Plant, relocation if necessary. **Benefits:** * Benefits exceeding Mexican legal requirements * Performance bonus * Other social security benefits The functions described above generally reflect the necessary details and describe the main functions of the position, which do not constitute a detailed description of the inherent requirements of the job.
