Because what we create may change, but what we will always do is make a difference. **Position Objective:** Perform tasks and provide services that support the plant’s safety, quality, and productivity objectives to ensure compliance with established business plans; additionally, ensure and promote sound manufacturing practices. **Responsibilities:** Adheres to established workplace safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified by the plant and corporate guidelines for safe performance of assigned work. Supports and follows food safety system guidelines. Conducts inspections of materials, tooling, and machinery. Identifies and corrects equipment and machinery failures systematically and proactively, always in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and technological respect for such equipment. Operates conventional and CNC machines. Documents and determines activities to be performed during line stoppages.Documentes and determines activities to be performed during line stoppages. Performs preventive maintenance on assigned peripheral equipment, support equipment, and tooling. Is available to travel to other plants in different locations to assist with projects. Maintains hand tools supplied to them in orderly and good condition. Uses computers to obtain and analyze information, as well as to record activities. Determines all supplies, materials, and parts required for each task. Performs cleaning, organizing, and painting tasks. Participates in continuous improvement projects and proposes ideas contributing to company objectives. Communicates relevant information to personnel on the next shift. Follows and participates in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the department and across the company. Also maintains a productive and positive work environment and minimizes personal conflicts. Required to work assigned shifts of 12 hours, rotating between nights and days Monday through Sunday; working hours may vary as directed by management. Must be able to regularly work overtime and/or respond to calls as directed by management. Regular and predictable attendance is required from the start to the end of assigned working hours. Performs tasks without creating a direct threat to people or property. A direct threat is defined as a significant risk that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level through reasonable accommodations. Understands and follows environmental documentation for which the individual has been trained, or as required by the EHS department. Recognizes waste streams and minimizes waste generation through prudent use of materials, as well as proper separation and disposal as instructed during EHS department training. Understands and practices appropriate waste accumulation and storage requirements. Complies with environmental regulations when using, distributing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste and materials. **Position Profile:** **Knowledge** Minimum two years of work experience. Certifications/Licenses/Others: Knowledge of the following areas: conventional and CNC machines. **Skills** Ability to communicate effectively, write effectively, read, comprehend, and follow complex instructions—whether written or spoken. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to apply standard evaluation, selection, adaptation, and substantial modification of standard electrical/electronic techniques, procedures, and criteria. Must be able to handle confidential work-related information privately and sensitively. Carries out individual tasks as required by management. Ability to effectively train personnel. Ability to operate and use a computer functionally. Proficiency with general conventional machines: lathes, milling machines, bench and manual drills, surface grinders. Interpretation of drawings (GD\u0026T), interpretation of mechanical diagrams, metrology (metric and imperial systems). Installation, assembly, and adjustment of assemblies. Sharpening of cutting tools. Handling of carbide tooling. Design of industrial parts.
