At Prida, we are looking for: **Customs Classifier / Tariff Classifier** **Job Description:** Main Responsibilities: * Determine the correct tariff classification of goods (imports and exports) in accordance with the General Import and Export Tax Law (LIGIE), the Harmonized System, and NICO. * Analyze technical descriptions (merchandise description) to justify tariff classification. * Identify, assess, and apply Non-Tariff Regulations and Restrictions (RRNA), Official Mexican Standards (NOMs), permits, and applicable duties. * Provide technical advice and support to internal and external clients on tariff classification and customs regulatory matters. * Maintain and update the tariff classification database. * Review customs entry forms (pedimentos) and assist during Customs Inspections to ensure proper operations. Essential Requirements: * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree or Engineering degree in International Trade, International Business, or related field. * **Experience:** Minimum 1 year as a Customs/Tariff Classifier. * **Knowledge of:** * General Import and Export Tax Law (LIGIE) and its complementary rules. * Customs Law, Foreign Trade Law, and their regulations. * General Rules of Foreign Trade and their annexes. * Merchandise description (merceology), NICO, and Customs Systems.
