Its commitment to innovation, design, quality, functionality, product aesthetics, and sustainable development supports its position as an industry benchmark worldwide. **Position Summary** We are seeking an **Import Analyst**, responsible for coordinating and supervising the flow of goods from their origin (primarily Brazil) to our warehouses in Mexico. The primary focus is documentation management, regulatory compliance (Compliance), and coordination with customs brokers and freight carriers to ensure efficient border crossings and customs clearance. **Key Responsibilities and Functions:** * **Customs Clearance Management:** Coordinate with customs brokers on the import process, ensuring correct tariff classification of products (utensils, tools, furniture). * **Document Review:** Validate commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading/air waybills to comply with applicable NOMs and current laws. * **Pedimento Control:** Review and archive pedimentos, ensuring correct payment of taxes and duties (IGI, DTA, VAT). * **Shipment Tracking:** Monitor international transit of containers and less-than-container-load (LCL) cargo, reporting estimated times of arrival (ETA) to the Supply Chain department. * **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure compliance with Mexican Official Standards (NOMs) regarding labeling and safety applicable to the brand’s products. * **Expense Auditing:** Review and validate expense statements from customs brokers and logistics providers. **Position Requirements:** * **Education:** Completed bachelor’s degree in International Trade, International Business, Customs Administration, or related field. * **Experience:** Minimum 3 years in similar roles, preferably handling imports of consumer goods or retail merchandise. * **Technical Knowledge:** In-depth knowledge of the Customs Law, General Foreign Trade Rules, Tariff Classification, and NOMs. * **Software:** Proficiency in **ERP** systems (SAP preferred) and **Intermediate–Advanced Excel** (data cross-referencing and reporting). * **Languages:** Intermediate English (technical reading ability).
