The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing customer relationships focused on international Air and Ocean freight services. This role requires a strong commercial mindset, solid freight forwarding knowledge and an established network within key industries in the Bajío region such as automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, and retail. **Key Responsibilities** ------------------------ * Identify and develop new business opportunities. * Prospect, qualify, and close new customer accounts. * Build and maintain long\-term relationships with clients and strategic partners. * Promote Cargo\-Partner’s international freight forwarding solutions. * Prepare competitive quotations for: + **Air freight shipments (Import \& Export)** + **Ocean freight shipments (FCL / LCL — Import \& Export)** * Coordinate closely with operations, pricing and product management teams. * Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor activity. * Conduct regular client visits and business development activities. * Achieve sales targets while maintaining profitable business margins. **Technical Requirements** -------------------------- ### **Industry Knowledge** * Solid understanding of Air and Ocean freight forwarding operations. * Knowledge of Import and Export processes. * Knowledge of Incoterms 2020 and international trade procedures. * Familiarity with customs clearance procedures in Mexico, including: + SAT regulations + Pedimentos + NOM compliance * Understanding of key industries in the Bajío region: + Automotive + Aerospace + Manufacturing + Retail ### **Sales Experience** * **Minimum 4\+ years of experience in B2B sales**, preferably in: + Freight forwarding. + Logistics. + International transportation. * Proven track record of: + Prospecting and closing new accounts. + Managing long sales cycles. + Handling corporate clients (Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers) + Achieving revenue and margin targets. ### **Market Knowledge (Bajío Focus)** * Established professional network within industrial corridors such as: + Querétaro industrial parks + Guanajuato automotive clusters * Knowledge of regional import/export logistics flows via: + Port of Manzanillo + Port of Lázaro Cárdenas + International airports ### **Technical Sales Skills** * Ability to quote and manage logistics solutions including: + **FCL and LCL ocean shipments** + **Air freight services** + Import and Export shipments * Strong understanding of: + Transit times and routing + Carrier selection + Cost structures (freight, surcharges, duties, local charges) * Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar platforms) **Language \& Communication** ----------------------------- * Fluent Spanish (native level) * Advanced English (required for communication with international clients and agents) **Mobility \& Availability** ---------------------------- * Willingness to travel frequently across the Bajío region * Valid driver’s license * Availability for: + Client visits + Plant visits + Industry events * **Own vehicle is required for daily business activities (the company provides a car allowance).** If you are a motivated sales professional looking to grow your career in the international logistics industry, we invite you to join Cargo\-Partner Mexico and become part of a dynamic and collaborative team committed to delivering excellence to our customers.
