Purpose
Support the Trust Operations Management area by ensuring that specific individual objectives, plans, and initiatives are implemented or achieved in alignment with the team’s business strategies and goals. Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
*
Promote a customer-centric culture to deepen relationships with internal departments and leverage the Bank’s extensive networks, as well as expertise in systems and technical knowledge.
*
Analyze and execute each trust agreement and mandate instruction letter assigned, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and SLAs.
*
Immediately report incidents or errors in supplier inputs or platform failures affecting BAU (Business As Usual) operations, and follow up until proper resolution is achieved.
*
Participate in special projects assigned by the Operations Manager to improve and implement operational processes, as well as update internal procedures.
*
Perform or request corresponding accounting entries in the ScotiaFid system resulting from payment(s) processed via various electronic banking channels or branches, and record requested contributions and fee applications.
*
Understand the Bank’s risk culture and how risk appetite must be considered in daily activities and decisions.
*
Actively conduct effective and efficient operations within respective areas while ensuring the suitability, compliance, and effectiveness of daily business controls to fulfill obligations aimed at mitigating operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, money laundering and terrorist financing risk, and conduct risk—including responsibilities defined under the Operational Risk Management Framework, the Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, and the International Anti-Money Laundering Manual*
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or related fields (graduated or intern)
*
Experience:
• 2 years of verifiable experience in a role similar to this position and/or within a banking institution. • General knowledge of trust agreements and instruction settlement processes.
