Tooling Technician

Job Summary: As a mold shop technician, you will be responsible for performing essential inspections and repairs to ensure optimal mold usage. Key Highlights: 1. Evaluate and distinguish mold-related failures from process-related failures. 2. Extensive experience in mold maintenance, adjustment, and polishing. 3. Proficiency in Laser and TIG welding, as well as conventional machining. **Your Role** As a mold shop technician, you will perform necessary inspections and repairs on molds to achieve optimal usage. **Your Responsibilities** * Evaluate and distinguish whether a failure originates from the mold or the process. * Select the best repair and/or maintenance alternative for molds. * Perform appropriate tooling repairs. * Maintain records of preventive maintenance and repairs for assigned tooling. * Maintain a minimum stock of spare parts for tooling. **Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)** * Availability to work rotating shifts * Experience in mold maintenance * Proficiency in mold adjustment and polishing * Proficiency in adjusting electrical signals (limit switches) * Proficiency in inspecting hot runner systems * Proficiency in Laser and TIG welding applications * Proficiency in conventional machining: lathe, milling machine, surface grinder * Experience operating CNC and sinker EDM machines * Knowledge of injection molding processes * Experience with welding **What Will Set You Apart** * Ability to repair/evaluate solutions for molding presses/processes and perform preventive maintenance.
