




Position Summary: This Quality Inspector position involves thorough inspection of welds, conducting non-destructive tests, and supervising procedures to ensure quality. Key Highlights: 1. Collaborating with teams to guarantee quality. **QUALITY INSPECTOR FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES** Perform visual inspections of welds to detect defects such as cracks, porosity, slag inclusions, or other imperfections. Conduct non-destructive tests—including ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, or magnetic particle testing—to detect internal defects in welds. Ensure adherence to appropriate welding procedures, including joint preparation, preheating, welding sequence, and interpass temperature. Verify that welding parameters—such as current, voltage, and wire feed speed—are within specified ranges. Maintain accurate records of inspections performed, including test results and corrective actions taken in case of defects. Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and welders to ensure weld quality and resolve quality-related issues. Release of finished product. Calibration of measuring equipment. Recording of waste generated within the operation. Document management for part shipment. Development of visual aids.
