As the engineering team grows, Deserv is looking to bring on a Junior Full\-Stack Developer to contribute across the full stack. This role spans frontend development, backend API work, and data workflows — including features that interact directly with large language models. The ideal candidate brings solid fundamentals in both JavaScript and Python, a genuine curiosity for AI\-powered systems, and a proactive attitude toward learning on the job. The team is based in Mexico and serves US\-based clients. Direct client interaction for this role is minimal; however, a basic\-to\-intermediate level of English is required to read technical documentation, follow code reviews, and participate in occasional cross\-team communication. **What You'll Do** * Build and maintain UI components and pages using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. * Develop and extend Python FastAPI microservices and REST endpoints. * Integrate and work with LLM APIs, including prompt engineering, streaming responses, and AI\-driven workflows. * Build and maintain real\-time features that surface LLM outputs to end users. * Write and run database migrations using SQLAlchemy and Alembic. * Implement form validation logic with React Hook Form and Zod. * Support i18n (EN/ES) by adding and maintaining translation keys via i18next. * Work with charts and data visualizations using Recharts or Plotly. * Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions with the engineering team. * Write unit and integration tests using Vitest and pytest. * Help triage and resolve bugs across the monorepo. **Required Skills** *Candidates should demonstrate solid fundamentals in the following areas. Mastery is not expected — a genuine understanding and the drive to grow matter more than years of experience.* **JavaScript / TypeScript** Component\-level React development, hooks, props, async/await, basic TypeScript types. **Python** Readable, idiomatic Python 3; functions, classes, error handling, basic async. **REST APIs** Consuming and building REST endpoints; understanding of HTTP methods, status codes. **SQL / PostgreSQL** Writing queries, understanding schemas, basic joins and indexes. **Git** Branching, committing, pull requests, resolving merge conflicts. **Docker (basic)** Able to run docker compose up and understand what a Dockerfile does. **Testing** Has written at least basic unit tests in either JS or Python. **English** Basic\-to\-intermediate level. Sufficient to read technical documentation and participate in written code reviews. **Nice to Have** *These are a bonus — not requirements.
