Opportunity to influence systems and directly impact organizational success **Young People in Recovery \-****Lead Chapter Member****Durango, CO** **Organization Overview:** YPR is a national, peer\-led organization that serves youth and young adults in recovery from substance use disorder. YPR aims to improve access to resources such as housing, education and employment that sustain long\-term recovery. **Vision:** Young People in Recovery envisions a world where all young people have the resources they need to thrive in recovery from addiction to drugs and alcohol. **Mission:** YPR’s mission is to provide the life skills and peer supports to help people recover from substance use disorder and reach their full potential. **Chapter Vision and Overview:** Young People in Recovery Chapters support people in or seeking recovery by providing community\-based recovery support services. Chapters also advocate on the local and state levels for more access to these services and other effective recovery resources. This peer\-based network relies on quarterly workshops, monthly pro\-social events, and regular all\-recovery meetings. **Essential Responsibilities:** Note: This position is ***part***\-time at ***10 hours per week*** **General Responsibilities*** Respond to work\-related communications from YPR employees within a reasonable timeframe during scheduled working hours, generally within one (1\) business day, unless alternative arrangements have been approved in advance by the supervisor *(Communications may include email, phone, internal messaging platforms, or similar tools.)** Comply with all YPR reporting procedures, including ADP time tracking, Concur expense reports (as needed) * Obtain and maintain all required training and certifications as directed by the organization or supervisor, including but not limited to Diversity, Equity \& Inclusion (DEI) and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Sexual Abuse, and Cyber Security * Represent the organization professionally in all interactions * Handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion **Chapter Member Responsibilities*** Complete YPR’s online interactive orientation and review the YPR Leadership Handbook within required onboarding timelines * Convene Chapter members to foster collaboration, peer learning, and skill development within a supportive recovery\-oriented environment * Support in\-person facilitation of the following activities **in alignment with applicable grant deliverables**: + One (1\) weekly public All Recovery Meeting + One (1\) monthly Pro\-Social Event + One (1\) quarterly YPR\-approved Workshop * Communicate with the Chapter Lead on a weekly basis regarding Chapter operations, activities, and needs * Promote and support all pathways of recovery consistent with YPR values and policies * Utilize RCI and Chapter\-specific keywords to support participant engagement and activity tracking **Organizational Commitments*** Collaborate to support and implement YPR’s strategic plan while promoting and encouraging the many pathways of recovery * Actively champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) initiatives * Continuously strive to improve personal performance and contribute to organizational excellence ***This is a part\-time position.
