




Job Summary: ALTEN Mexico is seeking a WWTP Coordinator to lead wastewater treatment projects, ensuring the WWTP’s continuous, safe, and legally compliant operation. Key Highlights: 1. ALTEN Mexico seeks a **WWTP Coordinator** to lead and coordinate wastewater treatment-related projects. This role is critical to ensuring the efficiency and sustainability of our water treatment projects, thereby contributing to environmental protection and regulatory compliance. The WWTP Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the **continuous, safe, and legally compliant operation** of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), guaranteeing **environmental regulatory compliance**, **prevention of environmental and social risks**, and **support for the plant’s sustainability strategy**, while maintaining transparent and preventive relationships with authorities and the community. **Responsibilities:** **1. WWTP Operation and Control** Comprehensive supervision of daily operations and discharge standard compliance. Control of operational parameters, treatment efficiency, chemicals, sludge, and final disposal. **2. Legal Compliance and Authority Relations** Ensuring regulatory compliance with environmental authorities. Management of reports, inspections, audits, and updates of permits and legal obligations. **3. Preventive Environmental Risk Management** Identification and mitigation of environmental risks associated with the WWTP. Implementation of preventive and contingency plans, and incident analysis. **4. Sustainability and Continuous Improvement** Support for water reuse initiatives, water and energy efficiency. Monitoring of environmental KPIs and proposal of operational and technological improvements. **5. Community Relations and Social Reputation** Preventive management of environmental impacts and community complaints. Collaboration on transparency initiatives and protection of environmental reputation. **6. Personnel and Vendor Management** Coordination and training of staff and contractors. Supervision of services, vendors, and promotion of safety and operational discipline. **Requirements** **Requirements:** * Degree in Environmental Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Sanitary Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 5 years of experience in operation or supervision of industrial WWTPs. * Experience in chemical plants or regulated industries. * Direct interaction with environmental authorities. * Handling of situations involving high regulatory and social scrutiny. * Industrial wastewater treatment processes. * Mexican environmental regulations (SEMARNAT, CONAGUA). * Waste and sludge management. * Environmental management systems (ISO 14001). * Environmental risk analysis. **Benefits** * Base salary * Major Medical Expense Insurance (includes dental and vision plan) * 15 days bonus * 25% vacation bonus * 12 days of vacation (From the first year) * Social Security * PTU/Profit Sharing
