**Senior QA Engineer** **Remote (within Mexico)** **Full\-time \| Direct Hire** **Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 MXN gross monthly** We are seeking a highly skilled **Senior QA Engineer / QA Lead** to lead software quality and testing strategies. This role will be responsible for defining and implementing test plans, driving test automation, ensuring high\-quality standards, and mentoring the QA team through best practices and continuous improvement. The position will work closely with cross\-functional teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle. **Main Responsibilities** * Lead the design, implementation, and execution of test strategies and test plans. * Define, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks, with a strong focus on **Cypress**. * Develop and maintain automated tests using **Cypress, JMeter, and Postman**. * Conduct code reviews and provide feedback on quality, testability, and best practices. * Analyze test results, identify risks, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. * Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality across the SDLC. * Drive the adoption of QA best practices, standards, and processes. * Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in software testing and quality assurance. * Mentor and guide junior and mid\-level QA engineers. **Technical skills** * Strong hands\-on experience with **Cypress and TypeScript**. * Advanced knowledge of **JMeter, Jest, and Postman**. * Expertise in **end\-to\-end, API, and performance/load testing**. * Proven ability to design, write, and execute complex test cases and automated test scripts. * Solid knowledge of **SQL and database testing**. * Experience using **Jira** or similar test management and tracking tools. * Proficiency with version control systems such as **Git**. * Familiarity with **AWS CI/CD pipelines** and DevOps practices. * Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and QA tools. **Soft skills** * Excellent leadership and mentoring skills. * Strong problem\-solving and critical\-thinking abilities. * Effective communication and collaboration with multiple stakeholders. * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. * Proactive mindset in identifying, preventing, and resolving quality issues. **What We Offer** * Remote\-first work environment * Competitive compensation and long\-term engagement Job Type: Full\-time Pay: $70,000\.00 \- $80,000\.00 per month Language: * English (Required) Work Location: Remote
