Job Summary: Algorithmics is seeking a programmer with teaching experience to foster the educational development and retention of students aged 5 to 18, managing groups and preparing teaching materials. Key Highlights: 1. Forms part of the educational development and student retention program for young learners. 2. Teaches programming and digital art to children and teenagers. 3. Manages small groups and prepares teaching materials. We are **Algorithmics**, an international programming school for children aged 5 to 18. The ideal candidate will have software development experience, preferably combined with teaching experience. You will serve as a key contributor to the educational development and retention of students aged 5 to 18. **Requirements:** * Must reside near the Corregidora area (maximum 30 minutes away). * Technical specialization related to IT applications (programming, computer science) (mandatory). * Knowledge and experience with various programming languages and game engines (**SCRATCH**, GDEVELOP, **ROBLOX, UNITY, PYTHON**, HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT), and digital art tools (**GIMP, KRITA, INKSCAPE, THINKERCAD, BLENDER, DAVINCI, CANVA, FIGMA, HTML, CCS**). * Pedagogical and psychological education (may be a secondary or complementary specialization) (preferred). * Experience as a camp counselor or teacher (preferred). * Experience training children (preferred). * Experience organizing clubs for children, especially age-appropriate ones (preferred). * Summer course schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 2 PM. * Possibility of extended employment, teaching in the afternoons: Tuesday to Friday, 4 PM to 8 PM; Saturdays, 9 AM to 2 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM. * Must have personal computing equipment (mandatory). **Responsibilities:** * Manage groups of up to 8 students. * Demonstrate empathy and assertive communication with children and teenagers aged 5 to 18. * Conduct virtual classes for children and teenagers aged 5 to 18. * Monitor and support student development and learning progress. * Provide technical preparation and troubleshoot classroom technical issues. * Explain the platform in detail to both students and parents. * Every student must complete and deliver a final project upon course completion. * Prepare teaching materials. * Arrive 5 minutes before class starts to prepare for the day and welcome students prior to class commencement. **Benefits:** * Monthly salary of $10,000. * $100 commission per enrolled student (monthly target: 25 students). * $1,000 monthly retention bonus for 100% student retention. * $1,000 annual retention bonus for 95% student retention. * Annual base salary increase of $500. * Work for an internationally recognized school. * Uniforms and cafeteria access. **Summer Course Schedule (June 8 to August 28):** * Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 2 PM. **Regular Schedule:** * Tuesday to Friday, 4 PM to 8 PM. * Saturday, 9 AM to 2 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM. * Days off: Sunday and Monday; official holidays.
