VALEO WIPER SYSTEMS \& COMPRESSORS Seeking an EHS Safety Specialist for a 4-month term Your Key Challenges (Responsibilities): * **Regulatory Guardian:** You will be the expert ensuring 100% compliance with **Official Standards (NOMs)** issued by STPS and SEMARNAT, as well as **ISO 45001 and 14001** standards. * **Risk Hunter:** You will conduct daily inspections to identify unsafe conditions and prepare the **Risk Analysis (IPER)** for each area. * **Training Leader:** You will design and deliver training programs ranging from **onboarding for new hires** to emergency response teams and chemical handling. * **Critical Work Controller:** You will be responsible for reviewing and signing **work permits** for working at heights, confined spaces, cutting and welding, and energy isolation (LOTO). * **Cause Detective:** In the event of incidents, you will lead **accident investigations** (using methodologies such as the 5 Whys or Ishikawa) to implement corrective actions preventing recurrence. * **Environmental Manager:** You will coordinate proper segregation, storage, and final disposal of **hazardous and special-handling waste**. What We Seek in You (Requirements): * **Education:** Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related degree with specialization in Safety. * **Experience:** Minimum 2–3 years in industrial or construction environments. * **Soft Skills:** Excellent communication skills (to persuade, not just command), strong leadership, and keen attention to detail. Tools You Will Master: * Selection and use of **Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)**. * Handling safety performance indicators (**KPIs**, such as LTIR and TRIR). * Safety management software and Office suite for reporting.
