*This position is from the job board Talenteca.com* ### **Job opening for company ARQA in Mérida, Yucatán** **Backend Developer** **Job type:** On-site **Location**: Mérida, Yucatán **What will you do on a day-to-day basis?** We are looking for a Backend Engineer with solid experience in Java Spring Boot to join our team. You will play a key role in designing and developing microservices and event\-driven architectures that support the scalability and resilience of our operations. **About your responsibilities** * Design and implement microservices in Java (Spring Boot WebMVC and/or WebFlux) following clean architecture principles. * Expose REST/GraphQL APIs, document them using OpenAPI/Swagger, apply versioning and contract testing (Spring Cloud Contract). * Configure and maintain API Gateway (Spring Cloud Gateway) with resilience patterns (circuit breakers, retries). * Build event\-driven solutions with Apache Kafka (Spring Kafka) and design orchestrations between bounded contexts where applicable. * Model and optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and complement them with NoSQL; manage migrations using Flyway/Liquibase. * Build container images (Jib/Docker) and orchestrate deployments on Kubernetes (Helm charts). * Define CI/CD pipelines (Maven/Gradle, GitHub Actions/GitLab CI), ensuring code quality and test coverage (JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers). * Implement end\-to\-end observability: metrics, logs, and distributed tracing (Datadog, ELK/Opensearch). * Collaborate with Frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure iterative, secure, and high-impact deliveries. **What we’re looking for in you?** * \+5 years of experience in microservices and distributed architectures. * Proficiency in Spring Boot, messaging/events, and resilience patterns. * Knowledge of Clean Architecture, Hexagonal, and DDD. * Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and observability. * Strong collaboration with cross\-functional teams (Frontend, QA, DevOps). **Compensation** $75,000 \- $100,000 mxn gross **Desired education level:** Bachelor's degree \- completed **Desired experience level:** Expert level **Departmental function:** Technology / Internet **Industry:** Hospitality *This position is from the job board Talenteca.com:* *https://www.talenteca.com/anuncio?j\_id\=68e70dc13800003f009ec408\&source\=indeed*
