Job Summary: A leading luxury retail company is seeking a Multi-Skilled Technician for the installation and commissioning of white goods, electronics, audio, and video equipment. Key Highlights: 1. Proficiency in various anchoring techniques A prominent luxury retail chain and department stores, in collaboration with Microformas, is seeking: Multi-Skilled Technician (White Goods, Electronics, Audio & Video) 100% installation and commissioning (excludes repair or fault diagnosis) Responsibilities: Install new equipment (white goods, electronics, audio, and video), ensuring proper functionality. Connect equipment requiring dedicated outlets. Install shut-off valves, angle valves, and ball valves. Perform connections using compression nuts and supply hoses. Install vampire valves without cutting pipes. Connect LP or natural gas using copper coils. Anchor heavy brackets onto concrete, brick, or drywall. Knowledge of appropriate wall anchors based on wall type. Protect floors, walls, and furniture before beginning installation (maintain a pristine work area). Maintain photographic records before, during, and after installation. Essential Requirements: Education: Technical degree (electricity, electromechanics, or related field) or high school diploma Minimum 3 years’ experience installing high-end home appliances. Experience installing washer-dryers, dishwashers, or gas stoves at customer residences. Ability to safely connect 110 V and 220 V electrical equipment. Familiarity with basic water connections (hoses, shut-off valves, compression nuts). Understanding of the difference between LP and natural gas, and ability to connect each appropriately. Punctuality. Excellent appearance (clean, full uniform). Clear communication with customers (explain scope of work and estimated time; clearly inform if something cannot be installed). Discreet and respectful behavior during installations. Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of wall-mounted TV installation and audio system connections. Ability to anchor into drywall, concrete, and brick (including use of stud detectors and appropriate anchors). Manufacturer certification (e.g., Samsung, LG, Mabe, Bosch, Whirlpool). Gasfitter license issued by competent authority. Valid driver’s license. Prior work experience in socio-economic level A/B neighborhoods.
