




Job Summary: Verifies property security for the well-being of guests and the hotel, managing activities, protecting facilities, and resolving emergencies. Key Responsibilities: 1. Ensures the well-being of guests and hotel property. 2. Manages security and facility protection activities. 3. Responds to emergencies and prevents incidents. GENERAL JOB OBJECTIVE Conducts daily property security checks to ensure the well-being of external and internal hotel guests. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Manages daily security department activities at the hotel. 2. Monitors physical hotel facilities as well as any other property assigned by the Security Manager or Supervisor, with the purpose of observing, reporting, and correcting irregularities. 3. Assists external and internal guests during unusual events such as fire suppression, administering first aid, controlling disorderly individuals, deterring illicit activities, preventing suicides, accidents, riots, and any other type of emergency. 4. Protects guests (external and internal) and facilities from premeditated accidents, assaults, or thefts. 5. Protects the hotel from deterioration and destruction. 6. Conducts regular property patrols to prevent unauthorized persons from entering the hotel, detect hazardous conditions or unsafe practices. 7. Conducts investigations into thefts or losses; accidents; and other incidents involving external and internal guests, and prepares reports for all incidents. 8. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the property and implements security measures during emergencies, safeguarding the physical integrity of guests and associates. 9. Maintains control and full responsibility for guest and associate requests regarding observations and areas for improvement within the hotel through a logbook, and follows up with appropriate personnel until full resolution is ensured. 10. Verifies the proper condition of emergency equipment. 11. Inspects restrooms for external guests (both ladies’ and gentlemen’s), the entire lobby perimeter, event and banquet halls, outlet areas, common-use areas, etc. 12. Controls vehicles in the motor lobby area, ensuring no vehicles are parked improperly or left unattended in the area. 13. Provides escorts for cashiers depositing cash in the designated area and ensures the relevant form is signed if applicable. 14. Verifies that all associates properly use assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 15. Conducts audits of administrative offices after executives have departed, ensuring they are securely locked and lights are turned off. 17. Maintains an appropriate posture in the area; the following are strictly prohibited: arms crossed, hands in pockets, discussing non-operational topics with other associates, and neglecting one’s assigned area. 18. Promotes a spirit of cooperation among Azul Talavera Hotel associates. 19. Supports all required actions during emergency situations. 20. Conducts audits of fire hydrants and firefighting equipment across all service areas. 21. Conducts audits of housekeeping closets and housekeeping carts. 22. In case of fire on the property, the Security Agent must be familiar with specific procedures for such an event. 23. The Security Agent must know the hotel’s Security Policies and thoroughly understand their specific duties as outlined in the Department’s Operations Manual. 24. The Security Agent must become familiar with relevant elevator operation functions. 25. Must fully understand all resources available at the hotel, including familiarity with location and operation of the following equipment: a. Sprinkler and smoke detection systems. b. Firefighting equipment, emergency exits, and first-aid equipment. c. Fire alarm panel controls. d. Evacuation procedures and public address system directions. e. Knowledge of bomb threat procedures. f. Knowledge of proper heavy lifting techniques. g. Full knowledge of internal and local emergency telephone numbers. 26. All members of the Security Department must be willing to participate in all training provided by the department or by Azul Talavera Hotel—whether conducted internally or by external companies—for the benefit of their duties, both on and off the property. 27. All recommendations or tasks listed herein are illustrative and neither exhaustive nor limiting. 28. This is explicitly stated because special situations may arise requiring assignment of duties as needed, without altering the employee’s scheduled work hours. REQUIREMENTS Experience: \- Preferably experience in the hospitality industry. \- Basic theoretical and practical knowledge of Civil Protection Brigades. \- Availability to rotate 8-hour shifts (including morning, afternoon, and night). \- Discretion. \- Valid driver’s license is a plus.
