Generic job description.** For Universidad Iberoamericana Torreón, an Electrical Maintenance Assistant must perform the following primary functions: · Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and sketches, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layout in new or existing buildings. · Ensure ecologically responsible and safe operation by properly locating and installing a wide range of electrical equipment. · Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on electrical installations. · Install electrical wiring systems, as well as mount electrical system equipment and accessories. · Prevent potentially hazardous situations, conduct maintenance tests, report any design or installation failures, and resolve them immediately. · Know and apply safety measures specific to work involving electrical current. · Record activities in the corresponding logbook and periodically report them to their supervisor. · Participate in the preparation of work schedules and reports. · Actively participate in emergency response teams. · Perform general maintenance activities as part of the job responsibilities. · Support activities across various general services departments when requested.
